Siege was a project I joined at a very early stage of development as a Lead Developer. I worked with a small team of devs, artists, designers and QA to build this great single-player experience through a full development cycle.
Because of the team size, despite the lead role, most of my work was focused on developing features and systems:
- inventory system, both for a single character and shared between multiple characters, using factory and mediator design patterns
- AI system with a sophisticated player detection system based on behavior trees
- crafting system, including object placement on Unity terrain and other objects
- save game system with full support for game versioning and branching story
- tutorial system
- game prologue as a separate game scenario and separate build type
…and many more.
